the REAL alice in wonderland

introducing the ALICE picture scavenger hunt!

this one it going to be pretty easy so if you're new to to scene, this is a good one to get started on. below is a list of iconic things/symbols for the original 1951 alice in wonderland movie. what you have to do is find what you feel to be the best alice-in-wonderland-ish picture representations of these things but they have to be real. so no cartoons or anything... and remember, pictures have to be sent in image format (jpeg, tiff, bmp); do NOT embed them in word documents. and let's pretend i'm not the brightest bulb in the box for a second so be sure each picture is clearly labelled/named so i know what's what. each picture is worth 10 points.

this event starts right now!
entries will be accepted until 11:59PM on FRIDAY OCTOBER 16, 2009

IMPORTANT NOTE: before you start any scavenger hunt, please please PLEASE make sure you read and understand all the rules posted at the bottom of the page.

welcome!

if you're here then i hope you've got your game face on and are ready to sweat! well, i guess even if you're not going to sweat you can still play along.

for the un-initiated, you might be wondering what exactly is a scavenger hunt... well, here's literal the answer to that:

scavenger hunt
noun
a game in which individuals or teams are sent out to accumulate, without purchasing, a series of common, outlandish, or humorous objects, the winner being the person or team returning first with all the items.

there are 2 key differences between that definition and what we're doing here.
1) instead of collecting items, competitors have to collect pictures and answers to tricky questions.
2) winning is based on points rather than it being a race. there's a time limit but you can submit at the very last second and still win!

the name of the game is fun so let's hope we can accomplish that!
